Cumberland Island - Tuesday, May 5
Cumberland Island - The Emerald of the GA Islands - May 5 ($138)
From St Mary's, GA, ferry to Cumberland to see the wild horses, spectacular dunes and ruins of Dungeness. Great photo ops of the horses, scenery, birds and other wildlife. Located on the Georgia/Florida border, Cumberland is the emerald of the Georgia Islands and a designated National Seashore where hiking is a treat. The trip requires one be able to walk up to five miles over a period of four hours (with many stops and breaks) to enjoy the day.
We will have our own private guides to enhance the Cumberland experience plus the ranger-led program at the end of the day. There are no stores on the island, no place to purchase anything. We provide lunch and encourage you to bring a backpack with extra water, bus spray and sun screen.
Upon arrival back on the mainland, we stop for dinner (on your own) at a local restaurant. Space is limited, so please sign up early.Deadline - April 14, 2020
